Based in the UK, Unilever is a multinational goods company. Behind Procter & Gamble and Nestlé, Unilever is the third largest consumer goods company. Unilever has many popular brands in various groups including Food and Drink, Home Care and Personal Care.

In 1985 the well known product Lynx was introduced to the UK. It rapidly became popular. The main audience for Lynx was younger males and is know to be most popular with teenage boys. However, recently Lynx made body spray for females which expanded their audience slightly, but they remain a most male orientated company. They sell body spray, shower gel, aftershave, shampoo ect. Some of their most popular scents are Africa, Black, Apollo and Attract.
Another very well know brand is PG Tips. The British tea PG Tips was popular since it was introduced in the 1930's. Also poplar brand due to being good for the environment. PG Tips is 'Rainforest Alliance Certified' and uses tea leaves are 100% natural and sustainably sourced. Their range of tea has grown including Decaf, Premium, Fruit, Herbal and Green. This provides to a wider audience mostly aimed at adults due to hot drinks being less popular with youth and especially children. However, their secondary audience would be children due to their mascot 'Monkey'.History of Unilever.
In 1885, William Lever opened a soap manufacturing company in Warrington, England, with his brothers they named the company Lever Brothers. They were very successful due to 'Sunlight' which was the world's first packaged soap. By 1919, 60% of soap in Britain was from Lever Brothers.
In 1929, the Dutch Margarine Union joined the Lever Brothers. This was the forming of Unilever. During the 1930's, the management structure of Unilever became a lot less family orientated. In the mid 1990's, Unilever started to nationalize most of their brands.
